Bt cloud voice out of hours greeting

aquascape

BT moved us to cloud voice from express and all works fine but I cannot work out how to set my company hours and a greeting out of hours saying we are now closed. I’m using the portal and seem to be able to set the company hours but I don’t seem to have a call routing section or an after hours menu anywhere?

BT are so hard work. Can anyone help?

Hi,
It sounds like you’ve managed to find the Company Hours section, so you’re already on the right track. On Cloud Voice Express, the call routing and out‑of‑hours greeting options don’t appear unless you’re logged in as the Account Admin for the line.

Here’s what to try:

1️⃣ Check you’re signed in as the Admin
Only the admin can see:
Call Routing
After‑Hours Menu
Voicemail / Greeting setup

2️⃣ Once logged in as Admin:
Go to Voice Portal → Call Routing
You should then see options for:
• Opening hours routing
• After‑hours greeting
• What happens when you're closed (e.g., voicemail, announcement, etc.)

3️⃣ If the menu still isn’t showing
This usually means the service hasn’t been fully provisioned, or your login isn’t linked to the admin profile.

Our Cloud Voice Express team can fix that quickly here:

Hello!

You can set company hours in the BT Cloud Voice portal, but the after‑hours greeting only appears if you’re logged in as the Account Admin. With admin access, use the Auto‑Receptionist or Voice Portal features to record greenskyonline business‑hours and after‑hours messages and define call routing. That’s how you add an out‑of‑hours “we’re closed” greeting and control what happens to calls outside your set hours.
