No Answerphone on Yealink W73H

So BT have made me have one of these Yealink W73H phones and go over to this Cloud Voice system - thus making redundant my 5 handset and answerphone DECT system (has anyone considered the environmental impact of dumping all the phone that no longer work).  As well as only getting one handset - this toy phone system hasn't even got an answerphone on it - how on earth is my business supposed to take phone messages with no answerphone?

Hi there, thanks for sharing this — I completely understand the frustration when older equipment becomes unusable after a system upgrade.
Just to reassure you: Cloud Voice does include full voicemail and answer‑machine functionality. The voicemail lives within the Cloud Voice platform rather than on the physical handset, which is why the Yealink W73H doesn’t have a built‑in answerphone.
Cloud Voice voicemail features include:
Taking messages when you’re busy or unavailable
Voicemail‑to‑email delivery
Custom business greetings
Remote access to messages
Voicemail setup and guidance:
🔹 Using voicemail on BT Cloud Voice – official setup and instructions:

Many thanks, I finally managed to contact the right person at BT another couple of hours frustration yesterday and can finally Log onto the cloud voice system where the message pickup facility was demonstrated to me.  It does seem functional and the ability to email me the MP3 of the message seemed useful.

Thanks for the update. I'm really glad to hear you finally managed to reach the right team and get into your Cloud Voice portal.

It’s great that the voicemail and MP3 email feature were demonstrated and working as expected. The email delivery option is a handy way to keep on top of messages, especially when you’re away from the desk.

If you need any help finding specific settings or features within Cloud Voice as you get used to it, feel free to pop another post on the Community. We’re always happy to help. 😊
