We wrote back in May about what Cloud is and mentioned we have several different products that fall under the name ‘Cloud’ – one of which is called Cloud Voice. Today, I’m going to expand on Cloud Voice and how it can help your business.

Cloud Voice is an internet-based system that lets you make and receive calls on your desk phone, smartphone or laptop through the internet rather than a traditional analogue phone line. So, if you’re out of the office for whatever reason, you can set it up to still receive your business calls onto your mobile – no need to hand out your mobile number to customers.

It’s tailored for businesses with between 5 and 99 users and is ideal for remote working and a simple office set-up. You have your choice of Pay As You Go (PAYG), unlimited or shared minutes allowance call packages, meaning you can choose what suits your business needs best. You can also have virtual geographic numbers so if you’re based in Newcastle but your clients are in London for example, you can set up a phone number with a London area code. Video conferencing is also possible with Cloud Voice, a key feature in the ongoing age of hybrid working.

You can install it yourself or have an engineer install it for you, and BT Business includes maintenance for the phone system as standard. We’ve future proofed it too, by including automatic updates, making it easy to add users, and hosting the system in the cloud so it’s easy for you to move office location and keep your numbers.

If you need support with the service at any point, we have a dedicated UK-based helpdesk open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you’re interested in getting Cloud Voice for your business, you can find out more information on our website.

If you have any questions or want to discuss this further, you’re in the right place. Make a post here or send us a message and we can discuss further.
