Business Smart Hub 2 vs Business Smart Hub 3?

Is there any advantage to be gained by changing from a Business SH2 to a SH3?

I don't need the WiFi 6 capability since I mostly use Ethernet connections.

Thanks for any help!

BT Business Smart Hub 3 was supplied with a new Hyperfast 2 Enhanced FTTP contract.

Previous FTTP contract was supplied with a BT Business Smart Hub 1 and in use for 4 years without issues.

Since initial installation version - 5 subsequent firmware updates in 5 weeks clearly shows there are significant issues with the hub 3.

Also have been using a BT Business Smart Hub 2 without any problems.

Thanks for the reply.

I too have had a SH2 running for the last two years without issue. I'm currently trying out the SH3 over the holidays and can't say I'm noticing any difference. I haven't noticed any FW updates, but it did update itself on first boot.

I upgraded to Full Fibre on June 5th.  I've been using the Smart Hub 2 with no issues for 2 years. They sent me a new Smart Hub 3 to replace it with.

After installation the service kept dropping out every couple of hours and then take a few minutes to restart. Very frustrating.

Engineer came out to look and couldn't find any issues with the cabling into the house.

Reverted back to the Hub 2 and presto no problems!!!

The Hub 3 is brand new so it could have quite a few teething troubles. Maybe wait till the firmware has had a few updates.

The download speed of the Hub 2 seems just as good (500 Mb).  The upload speed is slower, but that's not that important to me.
