I've today updated an older infinity service to Sogea. As best I can tell a Sogea FTTC product is technically still the same product as the old infinity minus the voice line. I'm trying to establish the username and password for the PPPOE login. With the Infinity product whilst the residential services used a generic user/pass the Business ones used connection specific user/pass. Does anyone know if this continues to be the case with Sogea badged broadband services, and how do BT supply this info to the customer given the router purchase is optional.
My old connection was discontinued last night, and it's just frustrating that I suspect the new one doesn't work for lack of credentials given the old BT Smarthub can see a working broadband, which simply fails to pass traffic.
Hi cfxdoug
If you use a 3rd party router and/or have multiple static IPs you will need the authentication details. If you require the specific authentication details for the service, our technical support team can provide this. You can find their contact details here: https://business.bt.com/help/contact-us-business/fix-a-fault/
Using that link connects to a BT dept that in turn direct you to BT Wholesale and an 0800 phone number. I’ll continue tomorrow.
Hi cfxdoug
I can help, please send the account details over private message.
